Acceptable use policy

KernelMachine is for real AI and computing work: training, fine-tuning, inference, research, rendering and development. This policy says what isn't allowed, how we enforce it, and what we don't do in the name of enforcing it.

Version of October 13, 2026. It applies to everyone who uses KernelMachine, renters and hosts alike, and is part of our terms. We ask you to agree to it before your first rental or before your machines are offered, and again whenever it changes.

What's welcome

Almost all legitimate work is. That includes medical, scientific, educational, anatomical, artistic and research work that deals with the human body or other sensitive subjects, as long as it isn't pornographic. We don't ban models for what they could be used for; this policy is about what you actually do with KernelMachine.

What isn't allowed

Nobody may use KernelMachine, as a renter or a host, to:

  1. Make or handle pornography. Generating, training or fine-tuning models for, processing, storing or distributing pornographic or sexually explicit content, including AI-generated content.
  2. Make sexual deepfakes or share intimate images without consent. Sexual or intimate images, video or audio of a real person made or shared without their consent, including synthetic ones.
  3. Sexually exploit minors. Any child sexual abuse material, real or generated, and anything else that sexualizes or exploits minors. We report it to the authorities as the law requires.
  4. Break the law. Illegal content or activity of any kind, including infringing copyright, breaking export or sanctions rules, or violating someone's privacy.
  5. Defraud or deceive. Scams, phishing, impersonation, payment fraud, renting with a card or account that isn't yours, or opening extra accounts to get more credit.
  6. Attack or spread malware. Writing or spreading malware, denial-of-service attacks, scanning or probing systems you don't own, or running botnets.
  7. Get in where you aren't allowed. Breaking into systems or accounts, cracking passwords or keys you don't own and aren't authorized to test, getting around our limits, or trying to reach a host's home network, their machine or other rentals.
  8. Mine cryptocurrency. Mining, or other proof-of-work computing, of any kind.
  9. Send spam or relay other people's traffic. Bulk email, open proxies, VPN exits or Tor exit nodes.

Hosts also agree not to

Your privacy while we enforce it

We don't routinely inspect your files, prompts, model weights or what runs on a rented card, and we don't give hosts any extra access to renters' data for moderation. We don't run software that watches inside rentals, and we can't detect every breach of this policy automatically, so we don't claim to.

Instead, enforcement relies on:

What happens when the policy is broken

We respond in proportion to how serious it is: a warning; stopping a rental; suspending an account or taking a host's machines off offer; or closing the account and refusing new ones from the same person. For the most serious cases, such as sexual content involving minors, intimate images shared without consent or an attack in progress, we act at once and without warning, and report to the authorities where the law requires.

A host who sees a rental breaking these rules can stop it at once with "Report misuse" on My machines. An account reported by three different hosts within 30 days is suspended until we've looked at it.

Reporting a problem

If we act on your account

We email you what we did and why. If your account is suspended, you can still sign in and ask us to look again from your account page; a person reads every request. If your account was closed, email support@kernelmachine.com.

Records we keep about a report

While we look into a report, we keep the report itself, the account, payment and rental records it concerns, and everything we did about it, for as long as the investigation and the law require. Only the people handling it can see them. We keep what's needed to act, not more.

Changes

When this policy changes, the version date above changes, and we ask everyone to agree again before their next rental or before their machines are offered again.
